Teen Camp Out

Conor had his first sleep over at our friend's house while James and I took the teens over night camping. We all had a blast... including Conor. He slept well and enjoyed all of the attention given to him. He is going back there this weekend for his second sleep over while mammy and daddy have a date night... thanks to Tracey who bought us really cool dinner date tickets.
James dropped his phone in Mountain Dew at youth group last night so needless to say - it broke! Pray for us to get him a new phone for a small fee.
God has been blessing us. He gave us a grocery gift card from someone at church and somone else left baby clothes on our front porch.
God always takes care of His children.

Conor

Tina wanted some face shots of Conor - here ya go. It's hard to take pics of him smiling. He stares at the camera and smiles when i put the camera down. He loves sucking on his hands. I feed him lots but he still likes sucking on his arms and hands. Maybe he is exploring? Conor is still sleeping well - 9 pm til 7 or 8 am. We are blessed with such a good baby.

The kids

Well Karen, since Conor got to meet Ireland first I'd say he gets to marry her... sorry Eoin :)

Dayna came to visit

Dayna came to visit and she brought her two beautiful girls with her. Isabelle is 2 and Ireland is 6 weeks old. It was great to see her and to chat about mommy stuff :) We went to college together and would have tea and a chat most days there. I wish we lived closer so we could keep up the tradition... she lives in SC :(

The wasp's nest

The first two pics are the dead wasps stook in the hole that James first duct taped over (that fell off but the wasps were dead from the spray - they got stuck in the hole trying to fly out into our kitchen) then he nailed card board to cover the hole and dead wasps until we figured out what to do next.
Two guys from the Church came over tonight and took off part of the dry wall and found a huge nest. Thank God the wasps were allready dead from the previous wasp spray incident. In the pic you can see where the wasps had burrowed away at the dry wall. We were blessed indeed that not one wasp got into our house. God was watching over us.

Conor loves his Crib!

I wrap Conor up in two blankets at night and somehow he wiggles free of the blankets and moves around in his crib. I thought it was funny this morning when I went in to see what he was doing and there he was talking away to himself in a totally dif position than I layed him in the night before.

Happy Birthday Karen

To my childhood buddy - Happy Birthday!
This is the latest pic I have of Karen and myself. She is overdue in this pic and I am 4 months.
Lots of love Karen!

8 Week Check Up

We went to the doctor today. Conor weighs 12 lbs 5 ounces and is 23 inches long. He had his shots and didn't cry too much. I stood behind the nurse so I wouldn't have to see the needles or Conor's sad face. Daddy was brave and stood by Conor holding his hand and talking in his ear.
Last night Conor slept from 10:30 pm until 8:00 am - pretty cool! He was sleeping like that last week but we went away for the weekend and it through him off schedule a little (he would wake up at 5:00 am or 6:00 am). Hopefully he is back on track. Tonight he went down at 9:30 so we will see what happens.
This morning when I went into his room he was talking to himself in his crib and I will post a pic tomirrow of how I found him... he kicks all the blankets off and moves... I will also post a pic of the bees dead in the ceiling! Two men in the church came over tonight and fixed our ceiling for us. No more card board nailed to the ceiling. :)
I will post pics tomorrow but wanted to let you all know that the doctor visit went well and Conor is a great baby.

Meeting more family

This weekend Conor got to meet Uncle Trent and Aunt Ruth for the fist time. He liked them very much (he told me). :)
Conor also met his "cuncle" Thomas. Tommy is James' only counsin on the Solarek side and he thinks he is a mix between counsin and uncle to Conor so he calls himself Conor's cuncle... works for me! He wasn't happy with the "2nd counsin" title so he made up his own name - pretty clever.
