Let the Fun Continue...

Party at our house! :)

Conor's Party at the Fire Station

Conor's 4th Birthday Party

We had a blast at Conor's party! We were blessed to have alot of his (and my) friends there. Conor wanted to visit the fire station and he wanted a dirt cake with worms(from the max and ruby show - see why we cancelled tv?) for his birthday cake :0) A few months ago he saw a pinata on the Dora show and asked if he could have one at his party. By all means! We had his party a week early because alot of his firends were going on vacation - thank you to all who came and made Conor's birthday so special. It means alot to us. We all felt very loved! Look at Conor's awesome shirt that Addie's grandma made for him... A Perfect Day!

1000 Gifts

I told you I read a book called 1000 gifts. The author wrote down 1000 things she was thankful for throughout the year - She said this exercise changed her life, attitude and mindset. Last night, I passed 100 things that I am thankful for. I am enjoying this journey of thankfulness and I love having my thoughts recorded in a journal for my children to read one day.
When I was in Hawaii, I thought I would knock out the 1000 things pretty quick. By the time I got to 35 I was drawing a blank - isnt that terrible?! Each day I like to write down a few things I am thankful for and focus/remember the wonderful things God has done for me and for those around me.
I am not going to post my thankfulness list on here but I will let you know when I reach 1000. I'm the kind of girl who has great (i think so anyway!) ideas... but I forget them the next day or get bored and move on! James has been a wonderful example to me at finishing what you start. I am growing in this area - never too late, right? This post it to encourage you to start your own journey of thankfulness and watch what God has for you in this journey.
'Be thankful at all times and in all things' a verse that conficts me often.

Last post on July 4th - i realy should learn how to post more than a few pics in a post!

More pics from July 4th

I have not seen many firework shows so i love this tradition! Going to a park and watching fireworks. This is my second time and it is so. much. fun!!! Conor loooved them. Elijah loved them too but he loved sitting by conor more than the fireworks :) Erin liked them. She kept her hands over her ears for most of it. Fireworks on the fourth of July? pretty cool if ya ask me. Best part of the holiday.

July 4th

We went to see fireworks with Elijah and his parents. Conor and Elijah were delighted to be together! It is fun to see your kids having fun :)

Mexico Report at SBC

Sunday night, the Mexico team shared what God taught them during their trip. It was a wonderful night. I loved hearing what God taught each of the people who shared.

I love these two! You know? there are some people that just warm my hearT to be around! These two are awesome. They never have a bad word to say. They are always telling me how much they love me and how much they love James. Who doesnt want to hear loving kind words?! And I am always laughing at or with Steve - he could be a comedian!

When You're the Best of Friends...

We brought the spider man cape back from Mexico. Conor loves being the super hero. He tells Erin that he will rescue her because she is the princess. They are so precious together (most of the time!)
When we came back from Mexico, there was a little Kitten around our house. We didnt feed her for a while but she wasnt going away so we fed her. For a few days, we played outside with Emily (the kitten). The kids and I loved having her around. On a sad Thursday, daddy brought the kitten to work. You all know what that means. Emily was gone. Conor said daddy was bringing Emily to her real home and she wouldnt be lost anymore. Yep. That's exactly what daddy did, Conor. So - I am hoping for a homeward bound experience where Emily finds her way back to Barrens Village Lane. We didnt want a pet but the pet found us. Well, good luck Emily. Hope you find a nice home. Our kids were 'funny', maybe even cruel pet owners. They put Emily on the trampoline, they gave her rides down the slide. I looked out one day and Emily left the backyard. I said "Why did Emily leave?" " O - we were squirting her with our water guns". That will do it! So - hopefully Emily is enjoying kinder pet owners :)
